I know you've been wanting to know...

I will probably weigh myself tomorrow morning. I like to do it right after I get up and um...use the facilities. That way there is no extra food weighing me down. My forays to the gym have been mostly regular but not particularly strenuous. I still don't have much of an appetite. What I do manage to eat is carbs and meat. No veggies are touching these lips. In fact, if they are green they are probably not touching my hands either. Ugh, just typing about them and thinking about them is making me feel.... ugh.

So the reason behind the unreasonable aversion to food that I usually actually enjoy? The reason behind the loss of weight despite no exercising as much or as hard? The reason behind the constant queasyness in my life right now?

Yup. I'm pregnant. Seven weeks (ish) and counting.

So, I'll weigh myself tomorrow. I'll have maybe lost a pound or two. I still would like to be down about 14 pounds before I start gaining weight. But, we'll just see how it goes.

YEAY! CONGRATULATIONS!

I totally understand how you are feeling (not personally at the moment but in the past)

My pregnancy fitness/eating advise (because you totally asked for it......um, between the lines :0 ):

I, personally, eat whatever sounds good to me in the beginning. Generally, vegetables DO NOT. So.....my vegetable of choice became Banana Peppers :). Once you start feeling better you can work on adding back in the "healthier" foods.

Exercise ALWAYS helps me. I may be tired, exhausted even, but it usually is the 1 hour a day the morning sickness subsides. Then I usually get about 30-45 minutes after wards that I feel good as well. Just keep it up. The benefits are worth it (for both you and baby).

Unfortunately for me, morning sickness has never meant significant weight loss. In fact, 4 pregnancies....... 0 vomits. I know, not fair. But, it also means I don't get to loose the weight in the beginning. It's a trade off.

I am so excited for you guys. Keep us posted on the baby front/weight loss front.

CONGRATULATIONS!

So, was it planned or a surprise? Do you get horribly sick, or just the normal amount? It's so exciting! I'm just so excited for you!

Babies are hard work but so, so, so wonderful!

I don't get too sick usually. I only usually 'lose my lunch' if I'm traveling (like on the freeway during rush hour traffic in the middle of SLC.) I just feel icky. The reason I lose weight is because my appetite is near to nill. I only eat because I get sick if I don't eat. Even though I can't stand vegetables right now, I don't really crave/want/desire sugar or sweets either. Just lots of potatoes in every form :)
